Once you have selected your preferred payment method you will be asked to complete an order form that will provide you with further instructions. Once your order is received the artwork will be reserved for a maximum of ten days pending receipt of payment. Payments by cheque or bank transfer will be processed within seven days of their receipt.

Postage & Despatch
The postage costs for each artwork are indicated on the order form. These costs vary according to the location of the customer and the weight/value of the artwork. Artdumidi selects the method of despatch most suited to the size and value of each artwork, choosing the most secure, reliable and prompt form of transport available at a reasonable cost.

Our aim is that you should safely receive your artwork within three weeks of your order being received - in most cases the delivery time will be quicker. We will notify you when the order has been despatched and indicate the estimated date of delivery. If for any reason delivery is likely to take longer than three weeks we will contact you to explain why and to discuss any alternatives in advance of despatch.

Unless stated otherwise, to reduce the risk of damage and the costs of postage, all artworks will be despatched unframed and unmounted.

Damaged Goods
If you are present when the item is delivered then please check to see if there are any signs of external damage; if such damage is found then we suggest that the item is opened in the presence of the delivery staff. If the item show signs of severe external damage then you should simply refuse it and inform us immediately.

If an item arrives with some sign of external damage, you should if possible take a photograph of the damaged area before opening the item. If when you open the item you find that it is damaged then you should also take a photo of the damaged item and inform us immediately.

We ask that you follow these guidelines to help establish the facts and to minimise the risk of a dispute over responsibility. All items are insured, but it is still necessary to establish the likely cause of any damage. If you receive a damaged item, we will try to make arrangements for the transporter to collect it, or if not, ask you to return it to us.

Returning an Item
You may decide that the artwork does not meet your expectations in which case you can return it to us for a full refund (less transportation costs) providing that it is returned in its original condition. You will be responsible for the delivery and return postage costs. When returning an item you must use packaging, postage and insurance equivalent to that used for the despatch. You may return an item for a refund within 30 days of its original receipt. You should inform us immediately that you wish to return an item. Your refund will be issued as soon as the returned item is safely received. The despatch postage costs and any additional bank charges incurred will be deducted from the original sum received.

Commission an Artwork
Commissioning an original artwork is not something reserved for the rich and famous or for wealthy corporations. Many of the artists represented by Artdumidi are willing to undertake a commission to produce an artwork for a specific location, occasion or purpose. Use of digital photography and measurements supplied by the client enable unique works to be prepared at distance - you will also be able to see how the piece will look in-situ prior to its despatch. Commissions can range from a painting to be hung in a particular room or position in your home, to larger works produced for public and corporate locations. The price of such commissions is fixed in advance together with the conditions for payment and return of artworks. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements - there is no minimum fee.
